PlayGreen, a Brazilian sports media and gaming company, raised $6M in funding.
The round was led by Vice Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to launch new features around live-streamed events and increase revenue through new sports betting opportunities.
Founded in 2020 and led by CEO Nathan Dionne, PlayGreen is a sports betting and casino brand whose mission is to work for bettors across Latin America by offering experiences and customer service in a safe environment.
In addition to its partner flagship media brand Esportudo, they also host brands including Endzone, an American football brand in Brazil, EsportudoW, a Latin American women’s sports movement, Next Level, home to esports gaming and pop culture, Camisa 23, a basketball brand in Brazil and Latin America and more.
Commenting on the news, Nathan Dionne said: “The future of PlayGreen will be shaped with our audience in mind, and this new round of funding will help us continue growing throughout Latin America to achieve our mission. We’re thrilled to have partners like Vice Ventures with unique insight into the international sports betting industry.”
The company operates in Brazil and Ecuador.
